Highlights & achivements

With the blessings of Poojya Gurudev , SSIAST Trust is established mainly for the relief of the poor and downtrodden in rural areas viz-small and marginal farmers by promoting agro technology and undertaking extension activities like training of farmers, creation of Seed Bank of indigenous varieties, undertaking plantation programs, collection of seeds and making nurseries for environmental improvement and economic benefit of small & marginal farmers. SSIAST Trust started its journey with the concept of Mobile agriculture .SSIAST Trust has designed agricultural development model for new and beginning farmers with knowledge, skills and tools and apply it to agriculture operations.

  • More than 2 million farmers & youths from 19 states have been trained in spread effect of Sri Sri Natural Farming technique. Nearly 1500 agriculture teachers are sincerely conducting Natural Farming training program .
  • Home Gardening training program , initiated by SSIAST trust create mass awareness in all metro cities and urban areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Madhya Pradesh , Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan and West Bengal.
  • The National Council for Organic Farmers, Govt. of India has approved SSIAST, of The Art of Living, as an authorized Regional Council for certifying our farmer groups with the status of Organic Farmers, under the PGS system. SSIAST will now be able to train farmers in the Govt. of India's PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) and certify them as such.
  • Plantation of more than 10 million saplings, has been taken place through Mission Green Earth project in India and abroad. Volunteers are enthusiastically involved in participating plantation program from 26 states of India .
  • Distributed 4500 energy efficient smokeless chulhas for the benefit of rural women.
  • Sri Sri Kissan Manch have been set up in different states -with the support of yuvachariyas for developing Model villages -establishing model demo farm in each district ,using only natural farming.
  • Application of Garbage enzyme (made out of Fruits and vegetable peels ) in agriculture field brings massive success in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, & Andhra Pradesh.
  • Seed bank developed of indigenous seeds in local level by Sri Sri Kissan Manch farmers throughout India.
  • Distributed 10 tons seeds of medicinal plants including lakshmitaru , to different parts of India .
  • Goshalas have been developed of Indigenous breed only. Throughout India volunteers and agri teachers create mass awareness program under 'Protection and preservation of indigenous cows' project , mentioning the benefit of A2 milk of indigenous cows only. (Scientist of New zealand made a research and expressed the harmful effects of A1 milk from Jersy and Holstein cows. )
  • Distributed Eco-friendly Terafil water filter to flood affected areas in a mass scale.
  • SSIAST Bangalore has been approved by the Headquarters, IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) , New Delhi as IGNOU Program study centre (13150P) for activation of six agricultural programs,
    • Post Graduate Diploma in Plantation Management
    • Diploma in Watershed Management
    • Certificate in Organic farming
    • Certificate in Bee-Keeping
    • Certificate in water harvesting and management
    • Post Graduate certificate in Agriculture policy
  • SSIAST Trust becomes Nodal Training Centre for Karnataka , conducts two months free agriculture training program of Agri clinic & Agri Business (ACABC). It is approved by MANAGE, an organization of Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India. After completion of the training, certificates will be issued by MANAGE.
  • SSIAST Trust in collaboration with National Institute of Plant Health Management jointly makes significant contribution to promote environmentally sustainable plant health management practices through training and research for the developmental activities to enhance the knowledge and skill of the volunteers and progressive farmers.
